The late Queen of Soul Aretha Franklin will be honored with a special tribute concert put on by the Recording Academy. "Aretha! A GRAMMY Celebration For The Queen Of Soul” will tape January 13th at the Shrine Auditorium in Los Angeles, hosted by Tyler Perry.
As you can imagine, plenty of stars have signed on to pay tribute to the legend, who passed away in August. Artists confirmed for the concert include John Legend, Kelly Clarkson, Celine Dion, Alessia Cara, Patti LaBelle, Jennifer Hudson, Alicia Keys, Yolanda Adams, Common, and Shirley Caesar, along with current GRAMMY nominees, Brandi Carlile, Chloe X Halle, H.E.R., Janelle Monáe, and SZA.
The Aretha tribute will be taped, with a broadcast on CBS expected at a later date.
