Rock & Roll Hall Of Fame Induction This Weekend, Plus The HOF Launches A New Podcast

The 2020 Rock and Hall of Fame class will finally be inducted this weekend, after this year’s ceremony was postponed in May due to the coronavirus. This year’s induction is going to be virtual and air Saturday on HBO and then stream on HBO Max.

Things will kick off with Foo Fighters frontman Dave Grohl introducing this year’s class, which includes Depeche Mode, the Doobie Brothers, Whitney Houston, Nine Inch Nails, the Notorious B.I.G. and T. Rex.

Then several artist will offer testimonials about this year’s inductees including Bruce Springsteen, Miley Cyrus, Luke Bryan, Sean “Diddy” Combs, Billy Gibbons, Don Henley, Jennifer Hudson, Billy Idol, Iggy Pop, Alicia Keys, Adam Levine, Chris Martin, Lin-Manuel Miranda, Brad Paisley, St. Vincent, Ringo Starr, Gwen Stefani, Charlize Theron and Nancy Wilson.

  • In other RRHOF news…The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame launches a new podcast today “Rock and Roll Hall of Fame Induction Vault,” featuring some of the most famous induction ceremony speeches from the past 35 years. The first episodes include the Beatles induction by Mick Jagger in 1988, the Eagles being inducted by Jimmy Buffett in 1998, Stevie Nicks being inducted by Harry Styles in 2019 and N.W.A. being inducted by Kendrick Lamar in 2016. Additional episodes premiere very Friday through the end of the year.
